The majority of Americans now live in states where weed is legal in some form. And for the first time EVER, federal legalization of the devil’s lettuce has become a major talking point in the presidential election.
Cannabis culture is evolving. But I see so little of myself in it…
In products and strains that hype high THC potency over flavors, aromas, and potential therapeutic benefit.
At events that center bros getting blazed and relegate women to the background.
In media angles more interested in hyping revenue potential and fresh takes on old propaganda than in educating consumers.
So I figured it’s time to take matters into my own hands.
I love cannabis, and I love working in this industry. But it’s not easy, and the biggest reason for that is because weed is in transition.
I want so speak to some of the realities of legal weed that I think more consumers and patients should know about — cultivars, products, personalities, events, and insights that resonate with me and my life as a Black, divorced, child-free woman living with her two cats in the Bay Area.
